The handle is black on the backside but the front has a little white swirl like cream in coffee. The handle of the small knife is like the swirl color and the sharpening steel has a black handle. The handles of the small knife and steel are different enough to tell apart by touch. The kukri is sharp and feels good in the hand. The small knife is sharp too. Beautiful tool and I love it.

Straight out of the box did a chopping test (about 20 chops) on my old hardwood log. For 16 inches overall it chopped fine and no chips or rolling of the edge. All hardware remained tight with nothing coming loose. Horn handle felt great with no hotspots. Passed the water bottle test fine. The only con is the wood inside the sheath may have warped making it hard to sheath and draw the blade.Overall a great value for the build and performance.

The weight and everything of the Khukuri is awesome, making it handy to use. Thank you, guys for making something like this available here in the states. Strongly recommended to somebody who wants to buy a decent Khukuri like one in Nepal.
