Kept my bees alive/warm during the winter storm Fern. We live in the deep South and got 4-6 inches of sleet. I have 3 hives. 2 with 20 frames and a smaller one with 7 frames. I put something on top of the lids of each for extra insulation since these only wrap the sides. It was easy to install and remove (by myself). I still wore my veil when installing, bc my girls can be opinionated and salty. For removal I did not wear my veil, but was very quick and did one at a time, walking away for a minute or two between each removal. The first photo is the day before the storm. The second is about an hour after it started. We had freezing or sub freezing temps for 10 days. It was abnormally cold for this area.

Runs big. Well made and does the job.

This insulated cover is easy to work with and fit my two deep hive very well. I have had to remove and replace a couple of times to work the hive and it was easy to do. The velcro is well placed and the straps and connectors are made of good materials.

I ended up loosing the hive I was going to test this hive wrap on so I can’t speak to the long term success of this as a winterization product, but I can say that it fit my boxes, it seemed like it was good enough quality but more importantly it was easy to put on compared to the sleeve style I also had tried.

I didn’t use this Winter Bee Hive Insulation Wrap for bees, but for wrapping my outdoor feral cat shelter—and it worked amazingly well! The material is somewhat thick, but waterproof and windproof, providing great thermal protection and keeping the shelter warm and dry through cold, wet weather. It almost didn't fit around the structure, but it stayed super secure even in strong winds, and didn’t trap too much moisture inside. I love that it’s reusable and seemingly durable enough to last for multiple seasons. Even though it’s designed for hives, it’s perfect for any crazy dog people that a homeless cat ended up choosing that's looking to insulate or weatherproof small outdoor shelters—creative and practical!

I'm a beekeeper and this is great, especially if you're trying to keep bees in a cold environment. It was easy to install and stayed on even with wind and rain. It functions well and after a stretch of rainy cold weather this past month, my bees were still doing well. It fits a little snug but I was still able to make it work, however a bigger size would be nice. Overall, nice quality, but it may not work for all hive types.
