Why does the yellow version say senheiser but the black say epos? Is there a difference?

Sennheiser is actually the parent company, and they created a new gaming sub-brand called "epos" after this product was already created. So the original colorway (yellow) will say Sennheiser and the new colorway (black) will have the updated branding.

How does it compare to the PC37X?

I agree somewhat with Caleb, they don't sound very different than the PC37x. However, these are a little bit lighter, both in weight and the feeling on my head, and the ear pads are way cooler and more comfortable.
