I could not verify enough information to give a 5
Nature Target Krill Oil 1200mg with Omega-3 EPA This company makes supplements for human and pet consumption They do have a contact page for consumer concerns. Their webpage indicates they get raw materials from all over the world. I could not find any evidence of USA manufacturing facilities. They do claim R and D from Harvard Medical School, and Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Their address (7001 Anpesil Drive, New Jersey, USA) points to a company that contains a Media workshop, an air conditioner contractor, a video and photography store, moving and storage, a beauty company, upholstery shop, and a warehouse. Actually I found 26 offices listed in this location. This indicates to me that this is a distribution center, not manufacturing. Nature Target has a high quality webpage, and appears to concentrate on high quality supplements. I can find no information about US manufacture. I could find no complaints made to the USA government agencies about this company. The product appears to have high quality manufacturing. The softgels are all full, and there was no extraneous oil in the bottle. I am going to offer the benefit of the doubt to Nature Target. I rate a 4 due to the lack of manufacturing information, and base my opinion on personal observation. I will take these with the expectation that I am consuming a product of reliable quality; although, I could not verify work with education and health organizations. For those who are interested, here are the methods I use to review vitamins. During my reviews, I have insisted on using only supplements that follow the guidelines of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and use third party analysis for purity. I also preferred products manufactured in the USA. After hours of study, I have concluded that my research has not been complete. Using products manufactured in the USA does not offer protection for quality unless high quality ingredients are used. I find manufactured in the USA “from foreign source ingredients” is not a reliable guide to quality. On the other hand I have found that vitamins produced in many countries are more closely regulated than the US. For example, the United Kingdom, European Union, and Norway (for my fish oil), all have more stringent controls for manufacturing and purity than the US. Research continues for this particular consideration. If I find that the company does business in those countries, I count it as a positive. I also found that having the GMP stamp on the label is not a good guarantee. Anyone who wants to can put that stamp on their product, even if not true, and nothing will be done unless there are consumer complaints. (Source FDA). A label of “third party analyzed” can also be misleading for the same reason as the GMP stamp. I retired from a career in pharmacy after 30 years, and I use my experience, for what it is worth, to judge the quality of the vitamins I order. I will look first for accuracy in labeling. Are stated ingredients accurate when compared to the actual ingredient weight for example. I will look at the apparent quality of manufacture of the capsules or tablets I get, and try to determine country of origin. I will try to assure that dosages stated on labels is correct. I want the capsules to be full, with no leaks, and unbroken. Who knows how much is in each capsule if they are not compounded to be full? I want tablets to be properly molded without sharp or broken edges. I do not want a great deal of extraneous powder in the bottle containing capsules or tablets. Softgels must be full and unbroken, without extraneous oil in the bottle. Anything I notice at the time can influence my opinion. For example, is there good consumer contact information. I check for a good webpage

High quality krill oil supplement which is better than standard fish oil as I understand it.
High quality krill oil supplement which is better than standard fish oil as I understand it. I've been taking krill oil supplements for years now, and before that, I was taking standard fish oil supplements, and even concentrated fish oil supplements.... but once I read all the details regarding krill oil, I made the switch and never looked back..... that's how impressive the literature was, and the way I understood it. It can be a bit tricky, with the EPA and DHA amounts, being actually less in a krill oil supplement, but from what I understand, the EPA and DHA in krill oil, is more bio-available, than it is with fish oil. And you also get the natural astaxanthin, and other key nutrients as well, with krill oil.Anyhow, this is a fine, high quality krill oil supplement that I'd like to say is manufactured in the USA, which is very important to me, but there is no "country of origin" stated in the Product Details section, or anywhere else in the product description, as of today's date. Made in the USA, is almost always seen as a strong selling point, so I find it very odd that it's not stated clearly. The bottle label says, "Manufactured for: A company in Massachusetts", but stops short of saying, made in the USA. Even if the softgels are made in another country, the act of bottling the capsules in the US, I think still makes it officially, made in the USA... and yes, they can say "with globally sourced ingredients", but it's still considered to be made, in the USA... this is usually important because a US company will have to inspect and test the raw materials that come from another country, or even those that come from within the US... the manufacturer has all of the responsibility of ensuring what is claimed on the label, is actually what's inside the container. So this element should be clarified here, either way, consumers have an expectation and a right to know what the country of origin is, or where the manufacturing is done, and I'm talking specifically about nutritional supplements or other food products... I've read one too many negative stories to be comfortable having it any other way. So this is a 5 star review, up until the point to where if I find out that this product was actually made in China, then my rating would go to a 1 star... that's how important it is to me. If you search YT, one of the most censored websites in the world, you'll still be able to find countless stories, for right now anyway, under the search term "China fakes everything", and you'll see why this is a concern of mine. But for right now, from what I can tell, this is a great product.
